NOTICE: New version 0.9.41 available

Here’s a quick update for the following issues:

  • fix hang/crash in Live (and probably other DAWs) when opening/closing the UI
  • Filter redundant setparameter() calls for unchanged value (especially seen in Reaper)
  • better resolution for automation curves
  • slightly faster UI
  • Fix to MapPerPreset status when restoring Default Mapping
  • Tweaks on OSX installer’s permissions
  • Add Midi Port handler by child process that can be enabled through preference file manual edit

Thanks!

Thank you very much!

Install on Mac OS X 10.11.3 went fine.

Before installation, I removed the following files:

  • ~/Library/Application Support/Moog Inc.
  • /Applications/Sub 37 Editor Standalone
  • /Library/Audio/Components/Sub 37 Editor.component
  • /Library/Audio/VST/Sub 37 Editor.vst

The following happened:

  • At the first start, the Editor did not ask to import the Hardware presets automatically
  • The permissions of the Moog Inc directory and its sub directories/files is still not entirely correct: They should not belong to admin/admin with write permission for everyone, but instead to /staff/everyone with read and write write permission for the user only.

.9.40 wouldnt find the sub 37 in win 10 with latest update, 0.9.41 has fixed that.

No vst3 plugin in there?

VST3 won’t be released with 1.0 as there are some issues which should be still addressed. Once they are sorted we may release it as an update.

Here also is a new firmware v1.1.21:

http://www.moogconnect.net/downloads/sub37/Sub_37_Firmware_v1_1_21.zip

  • fix for saving MIDI CC Mapping
  • fix for saving Ext Gate Invert per-preset
  • informs Editor when preset is changed via MIDI (e.g. from a DAW), to keep editor in sync.

There is an a/b version of the OSX installer. Which one is should i install??

Oh sorry, I should include a note about that. Will repack and re-upload.

Some mac users reported not being able to open the installer.
I built it two different ways to see if it made any difference for such folks.
The firmware is exactly the same in all cases.

I first started “Sub 37 Firmware Updater_a 1.1.21” and got the following message:
““Sub 37 Firmware Updater_a 1.1.21” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.”

Then I tried “Sub 37 Firmware Updater_b 1.1.21” and that went fine.

Same here:

Mac mini (Late 2014) OSX 10.10.5

Said “a” was damaged.

No problems with “b”.

I have tested the latest versions a little bit today making some automation in Reaper and the MIDI loop issue is solved.

Thanks a lot!
