My LP is on, been warming up for an hour, and I hit a note. There is a short delay between when I hit the key and when the note starts. After this happens with the first note, it plays fine. I let it sit for fifteen seconds and it happens again. What is the deal with my LP? btw I am running OS 3.1 if it matters.
that’s what happens when tuning mode: AUTO is enabled. When auto tune is active, the output is muted and the calibration preset is loaded, so the Phatty can measure pitch and adjust the fine tune voltage if needed. When you press a key, it takes a short delay to set up all the control voltages for your actual sound you had loaded to be restored. I could remove the delay but then the first note would make a funny noise when you first played it, instead of having that delay.
if your synth has been on and warmed up for ages, you could probably set tuning to ON or OFF and then you would not have this issue. Or, just play a note with the output turned off, slightly before you want to come in with your first, perfectly timed note.
