noise + adsr/vca + lpf + s&h = stochastic piano [AUDIO]

Guys,

Here’s the first doodle with my new modules - Doepfer A-156 (dual quantizer) and A-105 (lowpass filter). This one is quite sparse, as it uses only the two new modules + ADSR/VCA + Moog CP-251 + EHX Deluxe Memory Boy. The filter (fed noise from the CP-251) is self oscillating (but not on the highest setting), and is the only sound source here. The quantizer is fed a slow triangle wave from the CP-251 via attenuator and mixer, with me turning the attenuator’s and mixer’s knobs to vary the strength and offset of the wave. Triggering by the internal quantizer trigger. Result - quite nice pianolike sounds. Enjoy, and don’t forget to leave a comment (even if you don’t like it

This is amazing Lukasz!

It reminds me of the Trent Reznor’s favorite piano sound, the one in the end of Closer, for instance.

Thanks, Steve!

You went modular…you won’t be coming back.

Yeah, I know – I’m already planning for a second case, and this time it won’t be a mini case

Here’s another one – this time with Doepfer R2M (thanks, Steve!) and other Foogers:

Thanks for listening guys!
