No sound from Sub37 after opening Ableton. Powercycle helps

Hello everybody.

I am new to Moog Synths and also just switched to Ableton a year ago with not enough time.
So please forgive me if my info could be more accurate at times.

My problem is nothing new since the editor, i had this from when i got the Sub37.

Setup: MacPro, Ableton 9.5, Sub37 connected by USB and audio directly into UAD Apollo.

Situation:

  • i switch on Moog, Mac & everything else, but not yet ableton.
  • manually I can play the Sub fine.
  • I open ableton with a project with an external instrument plugin routed to the Sub: it receives and sends midi, but no sound.
  • after powercycling the Sub (while ableton stays open, i touch nothing else) everything works as expected again.

    is this a known behaviour?
or should i look more into it?

thanks
d

Can you send me the session which shows this problem ? email gil@moogmusic.com.

I will check it in-house. Thanks !

thanks!
email sent.

i did also experience this several times. turning the volume knob helped sometimes as i had been under the impression the master volume gets set to 0 while loading live.
the more i tried to reproduce it, the less did it occur
my setup is very similar. software and and hardware up to date. sub37 - apollo - live - imac.
live is preloading my standard set whith an external instrument for the sub37 followed by the editor

There’s a change on next version which should presumably fix this. Please recheck once 0.9.34 is ready.

Thanks !

Please check with latest 1.1.19/0.9.39 and let us know if it works ? Thanks!

keep an eye on the OUTPUT MUTE button below the volume knob… I have ever seen this switched on for some reason, haven’t ever had it consistently reproduced though. Just something I’ve noticed once or twice, curious for any reports if it’s still happening.
