No Arpeg Enable:On in Advanced Menu

Hi there,
I just got my SP last night and I’m just getting to play with it now. I was reading through the manual and going through the different menu options but in the Advanced Menu options and in the Arpeg area I don’t have the option of Enable:On/Off. Anybody know what I’m doing wrong? According to the manual it should be there. All of the other options are.
thanks.

Press the value encoder mate

Back in the old days, the ARP had to be “armed” (the terminology the manual used) in order for ARP to work. And then as stiiiiiive said (I may be missing a few i’s : ), you just press the encoder to activate.

The old behavior of the encoder used to provide was to in order to advance 10 presets in either direction at a time. But that’s ancient history!

I have 3.1T in my Tribute and the “Enable: On” sub-menu does not exist but you can find it in the manual depending on which you have.

Sorry if this posts twice. I can access the advanced menu but the option of Enable:On/Off is not there. I can see Octave, Mode, Click SRC, etc. but not Enable. I’m pretty sure I’m doing this right as I’ve followed the manual but there is no Enable where the other options are. Basically I can’t turn the Arp off at the moment. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Like Stiiiive said, PRESS DOWN ON THE VALUE KNOB. A firm press on this should make it CLICK on and off.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, so caught up in work I’m only getting back to this now. Thankyou, that did sort me out. One more push was all I was missing. Thanks.

Lucky you: my push button is broken

I’ve just come across this as I’m having the exact same problem with mine yet pressing the value knob in does nothing, what page are you supposed to press this on?

Thanks.

You “turn on” the arpeggiator while in NORMAL playback mode, NOT while in the menus.

Pushing the encoder enables the arpeggiator “on the fly” for the current active preset.
You only need to access the arp menus if you want to change patterns, octave ranges, etc…

Note that the arp functions are also accessible via MIDI CC, so if you have a programmable MIDI controller, iOS app, or using it with a DAW, you have LOTS of arp control options! :sunglasses:

Aha, I get it now! Thanks for the response!
