I just got my new Voyager today. Plugged it in and right off the bat started tiddling knobs which seems pretty natural much more so that my M3 (which has mostly sliders). Don’t get me wrong, I love me M3 but the filters and experience of moving the knobs is very different and organic. Of course my M3 is polyphonic, multilayered with oodles of effects and KARMA and for that reason it is prized my be but my Voyager is equally prized now for different reason. It’s a whole different animal and makes me want to play music (the whole idea).
More to follow but first impressions are very very favorable.
Photos to come - its sitting on a couch right now. I am going to move it to my studio away from home but for now I am having lots of fun fooling around with it. I built a new keyboard stand as well to house it and my M3 along with a laptop which will form the half my studio. Other half is foogers and an Eventide Eclipse - plenty of music power for some serious electronic mahem.
Although combining KARMA and the Voyager along with foogers is kind of like crossing the streams. Who knows what will happen.
Yes, and insert cable. Should not be a problem. I have not done anything with the back yet but once I lave learned everthing about the OS I’m going to start connecting it to my foogers.
Photos to come. Right now my Voyager is with me at another location and my M3 at what I call my studio away from home. Kind of a retreat when I get time off. However, I built a new stand so I can put the M3 on (which does not fit because its 88 keys - stupid me). So things went downhill from there and are a mess, don’t ask, I was very unhappy, nothing damaged however. I plan on fixing it when I get a chance by putting the M3 on a stand below the 3 level stand. Then I will put the Voyager on the stand and my Eventide and patch bay and put the rack mounted Fooger rack next to it. When I get this done you can have your picture.
