Interesting device too, reminds me of that dude in that band called “Mathcamp” that had that keyboard controller called the samsimiantiptiptipcheepee.
It sure is a goofy thing…how do you keep track of which buttons do what? Call me old school, but I don’t think I could ever figure that thing out!

Is that only compatible with Mac?

It’s probably compatible with everything except Vista. NOTHING is compatible with Vista. 
The next computer I buy is surely going to be a mac.
