new track, all moog (except drums)

I recorder this in Ableton live and used Battery for drums, and Guitar Rig for effects.. Everything else is the Voyager and MF-108m. Please leave comments and offer feedback. I’m fairly new to recording and mixing and I would love some constructive criticism from all you experienced tweakers. Thanks.

Pretty good, pretty good ! Excellent sound quality, interesting timbres. I enjoyed the changing vibrato speed on the lead.

thanks, thealien666. I feel like it still needs something, it’s a bit simple.
It’s funny, before I got into analog gear, I used to write all my music in Live with VSTs. As a result I usually wound up with busy tracks and typically too many layers. But with the Moog, the sound is so luscious that it inspires me to make simpler music . . . for now anyway.

That sounds really good.
I especially like the noisy drums.

Sometimes, the simpler the better. I’ve been trying to explore that for few years because it makes le more creative: when recording 3-4 tracks only, there is no place for that little thing you usually put because you’ve just openend the VST-stuff and you said oh why not.
Now every track has its own, proper, delimited place and I tend to work each one with a particular attention.

Nice track

I’ve listened to it again. I really dig that.

cool, thanks, stiiiiiiive. That means a lot coming from you two guys, as I admire your work and knowledge (from what I’ve seen/heard/read).
Yeah, keeping it simple can definitely inspire creativity. I’m on the road working for the summer, and I only brought my Voyager and mf-108 along for that very reason (well, and I didn’t want to lug too much from hotel to hotel, ha).

(side note) stiiiiiiive, I’m considering getting the ehx lpb2ube, will it get up into overdrive levels? the few demos I’ve seen were pretty vague. thanks.

Your very welcome mate.

The LPB2ube will reach overdrive provided you gang the two channels.

Story of my life. I like it better the simpler, Moogier way!

Awesome track, man, thoroughly enjoyable.

Thanks, Kenneth. More positive feedback from another musician I admire.
Yeah, it’s funny how different my music sounded before I got into Moog, haha.

Totally. Changes. Everything.

Eeyup!
