New T1 for me. a few issues. care to help sort them out?

video

just scored this guy for $500.

a few pedals weren’t firing. i went through, and tarnX’d everything.

well, they are all firing, but i have an issue.

first they were doing what’s in the video…multiple pedals playing the same note.

now, all of the notes above that F/F# aren’t firing (instead of the the same notes).

have any of you seen this happen?

Each T1 key contact system is a SPDT switch. That means that the entire CV resistor chain is in series with all the NC contacts. If any NC contact is dirty, then every key above that contact will not trigger.

The key contacts are the achilles heel of the T1. I finally got tired of dealing with dirty contacts and replaced them with the new contact assembly that synthfool.com sells, zero problem since.

As for multiple pedals playing the same note, sounds like a blown CMOS somewhere.

Nice score, BTW.

well

good news and bad news.

it’s no longer doing that issue. all the keys are playing the sounds they’re supposed.

bad news— they still don’t all play properly.

it’s time to invest in the replacement board.
