new phatty user-standard ac (kettle) plug?

Hi to all, first post here…i recieved my phatty stage 1 today(wa-hey!)…it is used and was not sent with a power adaptor and wanted to check that a standard 250v kettle/pc plug adaptor will be ok…i know this is a simple question really but wanted to double check before i plug it in

thanks in advance

First off, welcome to this forum, on behalf of other members and myself.

Yes it’s perfectly all right to use it, provided the wall connector at the end of that cable has a third prong, as the Little Phatty (and also Voyager for that matter) have a universal switching power-supply inside them that accepts from 100 to 250 Volts A.C. at 50 to 60 Hz.

Note: the wall connector on your cable must have 3 prongs (a third one for grounding purposes) as the Little Phatty is somewhat sensitive to grounding issues.

Al,I had to smile, reading your “somewhat sensitive to ground issues”[under]statement.

It’s only been an issue since OS 2.xx. When I first had 1.03C loaded up on my then-new LP Stage I, there were no problems. I ended up having to move the LP to a different socket when I updated to 2.00.
