New Moog Guitar?

Does anyone have information about the new Moog Guitar that is being sneak-peeked on the Moogmusic.com opener page?

Sounds beautiful, seems to be using some “sustainiac” type tech but with some additional twists.

Some screen grab links from Matrixsynth:

hate to burst your bubble, but its April 1st in a couple hours (at least where i am) they do these pranks every year, like my personal fav. the john cage inspired moogerfooger that did absolutely nothing LOL.
sorry but you been Mooged

Ah, and so it goes… I’ve been Mooged (in more ways than one)!

very nice

this is the first of the sites I am hitting with pranks.

Hmmm. So you’ve got my attention for a second time!

Is all the processing contained in the guitar? Analog?
Might there be a bass guitar version?

Certainly intrigued. Thanks Amos.

Well, good to know it wasnt’ a prank.

Thought I had stumbled onto Fender or Gibson’s site for a moment.

This is great news…if your a guitar player. I only hope Moog is going down the path that Arp took with the Arp Avatar the product that helped
sink the company. I would have really liked to have seen a polyphonic moog or a modular synth. I wish them luck

This thing looks and sounds amazing! I can’t wait to play one. Amos, can you bring it to L.A.?

I think Moog did have some circuits in a Gibson line of guitars back in the day . Ive seen it on Ebay now and then.

Id just settle for a Liberation, and I wish that they woudl remake that.

Moog Harmonica.

Business guys – call me.

Moog Accordion!

“PolkaMoog”
Bellows would produce a voltage, floor based control panel and expression pedal.

I think they’ve (not moog though…) already made a crazy accordian

There was the Gibson RD in the late 70s, at the same time as the Lab Series amps.

Always a step ahead! I’m pretty sure its an April fools. make sure to listen to and read the description for “outlandish polka”

wwwhoa!!! so this is for reals then

Will it support control voltages?

If it is real, I surely hope that they have a fixed bridge option. If it doesn’t come without a tremelo bar then I for sure won’t ever buy one.

I have a 1978 Gibson RD Artist bass with Moog electronics. :sunglasses:

I got to play on it for a bit at NAMM, and i was more than impressed. not one to be wowed very often, (and also not really a guitar player) the moog guitar did all sorts of magical stuff that i’ve always wanted to be able to do. (but all with no effects pedals)

it’s quite awesome, and i’m glad we live in the future.
