NEON Sitar is a synth duo that uses a generous amount of Moog sound. We play music from Bach, Ponty, C. Corea and my own. Hope you enjoy it: http://www.neonsitar.com
Thank you kindly stiiiiiiive.
We were enchanted by Niki de Saint Phalle representations. As you noticed our pictures have clues .
The reversed keyboard is a custom built controller. For “Mirage” I needed semi-weighted action but it is not that kind of keyboard.
The result shows in my strained left arm (only left hand should have that kind of tension).
It is a complex patch. The body of the tone, so to speak, is generated on a Voyager (pulse waveforms). Bow and articulation, however, are digitally generated (no samples though). A lot more goes around between one of Voyager’s oscillators and performance data but the general description is done.
Last week I happened to listen to an actual violin and realized how much I had drifted apart.
Other Voyager parts in this number are: drones, strings, and the glu-glu effect:
No, SaussDigit, not on this one. We wanted an evocative sound, meaning, electrified contrabass.
Apart from de violin partial, we use Moogs to sound like Moogs.
Thank you kindly Sorin.
Most of drum work is sequenced.
A portion of rhythm guitar track https://soundcloud.com/user-611511402/collectible-2
is doctored; lack of practice prevented the perfect take.
Nothing fancy; GarageBand was used I try to shy away from sequencers; they get in my way.
Does laptop smashing have a meaning for you? That must be it. For me it is hard to put it into words.
