Yes mate, I have the latest drivers installed, so far the best way I have found is to switch my sub 37 off then on again while Pc is on, then the editor finds the ins/outs OK but does not with out doing that. Also the editor will not find the sub 37 while running in Live 9.5 at all unless I carry out the above actions. Many thanks, Glyn.
Yes mate, the ports are all setup and showing, all works once I have done the switching on/off of Sub37 ect but once PC is powered down and/or restarted I have to redo the same procedure to get the Sub 37 and editor to find each other. As it only seems to be me that has the problem maybe its the way I have all my gear connected? Cheers Glyn.
There were a few improvements on 0.9.36 which should make the Editor-to-Synth connection more stable. Would you please verify and let us know how it works for you ?
I am very sorry but I am still having the same problem. So far I have tried using different USB ports (direct not hubs), uninstalling drivers ect. I did find that when your Sub 37 drivers were uninstalled the editor and my Sub 37 would connect as a stand alone but not as a VST in my Live 9.6, then I reinstalled your drivers and had the same connection failure! Sorry for being a pest but if I am the only one suffering this I can live with it no problem and leave you guys to get on with more pressing things (like a new MemoryMoog ) All the best Glyn.
Oh no, you should always report, this is exactly what we are after here
Let me know if I get you correctly:
If you switch on the Synth, and only then load Editor (standalone or plug-in) , there are no connection issues at all.
If after that you close the Editor or Ableton session and realod them, the Editor won’t find the synth, but it will find it and won’t loose any connection if you then power the synth off and on again ?
in answer to your question my present situation is this,
If my Sub 37 is already powered up and I power up my PC, then attempt to connect the Sub 37 Editor the connections between the Editor and Sub 37 are not made. Then if I either switch of Sub 37 or remove USB cable and reconnect and relaunch the editor a connection is made. So long as I do not power down the PC I always make connection, but if I do power down the PC and leave my Sub 37 on I have the same situation of no connection again and have to go through the same processe.
If I have the Sub 37 off and power up my PC, let it go through it start up then power up my Sub 37, then launch the Editor it always finds connections.
start up problem sorted, before installing latest editor update 0.9.40,I cleaned up my drive and done an optomize, installed new update and all is good.
Many thanks for your help and sorry I was a fool and did not do it before.
All the best Glyn.
Its difficult to answer as windows and ableton and the sub 37 firmware and editor have all undergone changes and updates over the last couple of months. Win 10 with the usb driver at its current level have given no problems. Some of the connection problems were all solved in subsequent firmware updates. Windows 10 updated yesterday or for me anyway and so far all is stable with your current firmware and editor.
