MF-106, please!
Taurus mock-up?
LPRM ![]()
Analog Delay with ‘tap tempo’ added? Please?!
Guys guys,
You know they are working on a Modular polyphonic synth with sequencer in a cp251 style unit.
Weve been over this.

Yes. It will be the MF-106. Also, a fully functional Taurus III and LPRME. And electronic drum set, and a Moog bass. And throw in a standalone sequencer for those who can’t afford the MF-106. ![]()
There hasn’t been a brand new Moog synth since 2006 now, so my guess (or hope!) is that a totally new product should be announced for 2009 in that line.
I know I’d be disappointed if NAMM only showed new effects and variations of Voyager/Phattys!
Considering that Moog just released the Moog Guitar and Voyager OS and that they’re hard at work on the Taurus III, I wouldn’t expect anything totally new. A Phatty Rack would be nice… maybe something new in the Fooger line… But I wouldn’t hold my breath.
On the other hand… why would Moog have to release a totally new product. They have the analog monosynth nailed. Why distract from core competency. I’d think Moog, more than other companies, would be sensitive to that.
And besides… Do you really think this is the ideal economy for launching new, untested products?
after the moog guitar, mmvos, mp201 and the recent anouncement of the taurus III, I wouldn’t expect more than a demo version of the new taurus pedals. Even that might be a little to soon. But who knows, moog also like to surprise us.
maybe a rebirth of the parametric eq ?, once
seq would be nice too.
however i’l be too busy to read 'bout the namm, due to my new voyager + old phaser
!! MF-106 Sequencer !!
That would be nice.
Anyone else regularly checking the moogmusic.com page for a NAMM update?
Yes. Obsessively. Somewhat sad, I realize… Glad not to be alone.
I check it because I dont have a straight up link to the forum.
You know I wouldn’t be shocked to see a Moog Std. Guitar. I don’t see why you have to devote all of your resources strictly to building an Uber quality guitar without testing the technology in a standard body style first.
I also don’t see why you can’t have both versions coming out of the same factory.
Im not complaining, Im just saying its a possibillity.
Eric
You mean selling a super-premium instrument as well as a more affordable instrument with fewer bells-and-whistles? Naw, Moog’d never do that…
… Oh… waitaminnit.
Stop making fun of the LP! It is STILL a superior instrument. Just not when compared to the Voyager.
I know you’re just joking BTW. Me too. ![]()
Hey, I love my Phatty! And my Moog synth, too!
Seriously, I think Moog’s High/Low strategy is well thought out. Voyagers sell Phatties, but Phatties don’t cut into the Voyager market. It’d be nice if they could do that with the guitar or – I tremble to even contemplate the possibility – a polysynth. [Not that I expect one any more than I expect Natalie Portman to return my calls… but a boy can dream.]
My MF-101 led to more Moogers
My Moogers led to my LPTE
My LPTE led to my Voyager OS
Now I want a Mooger Fooger 16-step sequencer (or 8 that is chainable to a 2nd one)
Pfffftttt
Dreaming again I guess.
