Naming the Phatty...

I’m pretty sure this was already discussed in another thread, but for the life of me I can’t find it now. :confused:

Anyway, I noticed there still seems to be a lot of variation in the abbbreviations folks are using when referring to the various Phatty models in their threads. While I’m pretty sure everyone recognizes “LP” as the Little Phatty, the use of “SP” seems to show up interchangeably as referring to the Slim Phatty and Sub Phatty, which might lead to a bit of confusion for some readers (especially when talking about firmware, hidden parameters, etc.)

FWIW -

The manual for the Moog Slim Phatty “officially” refers to it as “SP”, so I figure if that’s good enough for Moog, it would be good enough for the forum to generally use, just to help eliminate some of the confusion.

I imagine the use of “Sub” - or something similar - would be almost universally reconized here as referring to the Sub Phatty.

I think SubP is best, and have seen that used most often elsewhere.
