yesterday i turned on my moog after weeks and it seems to be almost died. Almost no sounds if not some buzz from buggy 3rd oscillator. If i scroll some preset sometimes i get some sweepy sound
and no more. The weirdest thing is that if i set all oscillators to off, it continues to make noises.
I can’t get any sound from osc1 and 2 while i still get noises from osc3 even if they are very quiet.
If you turn all the octaves to their hightes points does that make a difference?
Can you control the oscs from any other means like via midi or CV or with the mod wheel to pitch or anything like that.
WHen was your voyager purchaed? There was a run where the keyscan boards were faulty. What was happening was that because that board was out, the keys were sending an extremely low voltage to the oscs, so they would sputter and had virtually no control.
Set the envelope to external control and see if you can get ANYTHING in the pitch range.
This may very well be what’s wrong, and if this is the case then call Moog, and they can send you a keyscan board and they will include detailed instructions for replacing it. You won’ thave to send it in, no soldering, all you’d need is a screwdeiver.
After an inside inspection I fixed it. The problem was a cable not properly inserted in a slot <.<
Anyway, my third oscillator is still unusable as a normal osc.. but now the moog sounds lol
