The Muse, like a lot of synths, uses an OLED display.
OLEDs do not like static images being displayed for a long time, which can result in screen burn. Hence the blank screen saver (noting this really was the original intent for a screen saver in the “old days”).
So Moog are doing the right thing to protect the display.
It is easy enough to get the Muse screen displaying again when needed. Just press the SELECT button.
Some of my other synths that use OLED displays, like my Novation Summit and Sequential Prophet X, have the screen go off after about five minutes, but their screens come back on again when you start playing the keys or adjusting controls, so maybe that would be better behaviour to request for the Muse.
EDIT: it now looks like turning any control gets the display back on.
LCD displays like those on the Kronos do not suffer from screen burn, and the Kronos is screen blanking to comply with EU legislation (or similar) re power consumption, which I also turn off - you are not going to burn that type of screen.
