My Preset is lost

My preset is lost blank A-G,But I got preset from somebody is a Zip files .syx.I want to ask who know how I connect to the computer and send to Voyager?Or if someone have another Voyager can send preset from that voyager to my voyager or not?If cand do that How to do?IThis is my first moog dont know much about system:-(

I am near Stuttgart/Germany. And I would offer you my help, if you were near my place. I am sure you will find some friendly Voyager user her to help you.

From you questions, I assume you are not familiar with Midi sysex data transfer at all. It is basically the same on all MIDI equipped and sysex reading synths.
But the actual step by step process is quit long if you have to load some kind of sysex sending program and need to install even a MIDI interface first. And this all depends on your computer OS.

Basically it is like this:

  • load and install the right freeware,shareware or commercial program to send MIDI sysex data
  • set up a MIDI interface
  • connect the interface to you computer by USB (or parallel port)
  • connect the interface’s MIDI-Out to your Voyager’s MIDI-In socket
  • open the sysex file with your program of step 1
  • send the file by using the PLAY or what ever named function for data transmission
  • see the files being loaded on the Voyager
  • done.

Of cause you could also connect the MIDI-Out of one Voyager with the files you would like to have (but don’t we all edit these preset sounds or do totally new ones often?) to the MIDI-In of yours and start the SEND ALL PATCHES function on the first Voyager.
Disconnect the cables if needed.
