My own personal Moog fest

Okay, this was incredible.

Yesterday, my good pal, Steve and myself went down to Hofstra University to witness a presentation of modern-day synths by Moog and Korg. The Triton was presented by Prof. Herbert Deutsch (Dr. Moog’s old collaberator), while the MS-2000B and the Minimoog Voyager were presented by Rob - a. k. a. APOLLO / LYRA! And, I had a blast!!

[The idea of this class was to teach students the difference between pure analog, pure digital and digital / analog modeling synthesis.]

One thing I’ve got to say, hands down is that I’m much more interested in getting the Voyager Performance Edition - and much less interested in first trying the Model D. I mean, it seems like all it needs to make it sound dirtier is to de-tune 1 or 2 oscillators, or plug it into a chorus unit.
