Plugged it in the other day and the first thing I noticed was that the LFO light remained constantly lit no matter what the Rate was set to. The LFO and Noise outputs emit a high-pitched whine instead of what they normally would.
I’ve already got an RMA number. Glad it is still under warranty.
Just wanted to vent, because now that it is boxed up and on its way back to Moog, I kinda feel like I’m missing a limb.
If it’s any consolation, Moog’s turnaround is fantastic, you should be back up and making crazy modulation in a week or so. My LP tribute was a disaster when I got it (new), several LEDs were busted, left wood panel was split, no sound out of the mains, noisey sound out of the headphone jack. They got it back to me in 10 days (mailing time included) and it was pristine upon return.
My rack is powered on 2 power strips, 2 units on each strip with 55 feet of extension cords so that I can run to a different room if need be. I unplug the power strips and put the lid back on the rack every time Im dne playing. I leave the Voyager plugged in most of the time but I ocassionally unplug it when Im busy or theres a storm. MicroMoog gets plugged in only when im playing it, as does the theremin.
Currently I have to keep the Foogers on a shelf and I only plug them up when I use them. This surge protector is really old, so I’m throwing it away and getting a new one just in case.
