This pedal seems really cool from the samples i heard. i’m thinking about getting one for my guitar/synth use, but they seem really expensive. Can any of you Murf users let me know if you think it’s worth the money? And is it endless fun/sounds… or is it more of a couple-trick pony?
writeroxie,
It’s definitely not a couple-trick pony. It’s a very flexible effect. I highly recommend it.
There’s a review in the April Sound on Sound issue…they liked it!
I love to run white noise into it then use it as a drum machine.
awesome! thanks guys
I also really like it. It’s quite unlike any other effects unit I have (hardware or software) and loads of fun to mess around with.
I own the LP filter, Ring Mod, and Phaser. Now I’ve only played with the MURF for about an hour, but for some reason I just can’t get into the MURF. I want to like it, but it just doesn’t seem to have any practical use for the music I make (which is experimental). I know that sounds crazy, but it just seems a bit gimmicky to me. Perhaps if I spend more time with it and plug some CV from other pedals. . .
