Hey - thinking of buying a Murf, do you think this would work in replacement of a good dedicated tremelo pedal? Also, i’ve heard reports that it’s noisey - any thoughts? Thanks, b
The MF-102 is your best bet for tremelo.
Yeah, the ring mod makes an awesome tremolo. The MuRF is more of a filter with animation. I think of it as a faux sequencer.
My 2 cents: The MuRF is a decent tremolo and can do an alright regular everyday tremolo sound - but it does not excel at it. It gets really wacky really easy, and has the added filter control, which is the whole point of it.
If you want a more traditional sounding tremolo pedal, that has some neat tricks up it’s sleeve, look at the Empress tremolo, sorry MOOG.
what i really want is a fooger Bode trem pedal

i do use the murf for some trem… it can also … give some special filtered trem as mentioned before…
it is another type of a trem.. but not a straight forward one…
