Iβll add that some Cubase versions use a different location for VST3 (usually under the Steinberg folder), so folder may differ from one system to another, depending on the DAWs installed.
You know Cubase uses VST3 when the plug-in has a VST3 logo (βIIIβ) appearing near its name on the list.
All VST 3 plugins are copied to these folders !! Why is that? Quite simply with VST 3 one can not specify another VST 3 path because these otherwise not function (at least in Cubase). You can not change the path just next to when info! For standards 2.4 VSTβs that is different there you can choose a path! With VST 3 however not! Otherwise, they will not run and will not be found.
