More tuning questions

How often should I plan to retune my LP2? Will the tuning fluctuate much based on the quality of the power or is it more of a heat issue? Does ambient temperature matter much (i.e., is 65 degrees vs. 80 degrees a big deal?) or is it the operating temperature of the oscillators themselves?

The power where I live is notoriously noisy/varying and I’ll be using the LP in a few different studios, so I’m curious how conscious of the tuning I’ll need to be.

My thought is that I should go through the tuning process once and then leave the LP2 in Auto tune mode. Is that what most folks do?

Thanks,
Bryan

It shouldn’t need tuning very often at all.

It’s more of a heat issue, unless we’re talking about really unstable power, like a brownout type situation.

Ambient temp. doesn’t matter much as long as the LP has been turned on for a while (like, 15-30min) at the current ambient temp. Warm-up and sudden drastic changes in ambient temperature are more the issue.

That’s what I do… works fine; usually I can use my LP as a tuning reference for the other gear in my studio.
