More sequence files, and a few Librarian GUI glitches

I’ve been playing with the Sequencer panel. I’m on OS X.

  1. When we load a sequence, the GUI shows all the parameters, so something got read in OK, and a sys-ex message is sent out to the Sub 37. I would have thought that the preset would have had the sequence loaded into it also, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

If you switch to another preset and come back, the loaded sequence is gone. You have to click the “Save” button at the top of the screen to save the edits to the preset after loading a sequence. I didn’t expect that.

  1. Does a preset category have to be “Sequence” for the Sub 37 to think that it has a sequence? Sometimes it seemed like it did, but maybe I was still tripping up on #1.

  2. On the Librarian page, in the Preset Library (middle column), changing the Category of a preset is rather cumbersome. Click, pick an action, finally get a drop-down menu, and select the category. The drop-down menu for the category doesn’t make much sense to me. “Reveal in Finder” “Paste”. A simpler way would be to just double-click on the category for a patch, and get the category pop-up, no extra steps.

  3. Same page, same table. Click on a preset. Use the keyboard cursor arrow keys to move up and down a few presets. Watch the size of the category text font change to something smaller. The preset name text isn’t affected.

  4. Same page, far right column. Renaming a HW preset is too complicated, can we just double click or hit return to start editing the preset name in that column. I know that both of those now send the preset to the hardware; maybe we can get an easier way to edit the names there?

Hi,

Good suggestions.

For 5.
Alt-Click is quite straightforward for renaming,

Thanks,
