In sad need of a cover for my VOS. Is the cover that is sold here any good?
Where good equals:
well made
well designed (has flap for wires; has a slit in the side so that it can be used while synth is in upright position)
-overall is it worth the money or is the consensus that it’s just a rectangle shaped cover that can only be used with everything disconnected and Voyager flat?
Taken from the description here: “Protect your investment when you’re not using it.”
So forget about covering it with the control panel in the upright position.
They do state however that it is “water repellant”, although not waterproof, which is still good against the occasional accidental coffee/beer drip.
It’s cordura on the outside and lined on the inside, with a drawstring.
I use mine with the panel upright and it fits fine. It fits over connected cables, even cables with the long Neutrik jacks.
I washed it after a couple years and it did shrink a little bit. I put mine through the dryer so maybe avoiding that step would eliminate that. It just fits a little tighter now than it did new.
Yes, it’s good. I got mine thrown in when I bought my Voyager and I use it all the time. And yes, you can use it in the upright position, no problem… and it certainly looks better than sheets, etc.
I’m sold. Thanks for all of the replies. Ordering it now.
(btw: I checked w/customer service on the shirts from a few weeks back; turns out that it was 'PRE"-order and they say they will be received there on Friday so we can all expect our orders to arrive by end of next week with any luck)
