MOOG TAURUS 2...Impossible to find any informations

Hi , I’ve just got a Taurus 2. I’ve got the main board and the pedal board. I feel like I’m alone in the world to have this baby ; Its really hard to find informations or the manual.

Anyone knows wich cable I need to connect them together (pedal and main board) ? its really look like a midi plug but there’s nothing that mention midi on it ( in fact, I’m not really sure that midi even existed in 1981…) Enyway, I’ve tried to plug a midi cable and it doesn’t seem to work very well.

Does anyone know if I can plug or do anything else with the main board other than plug the pedal board (like an other synth or whatever) I wonder because there’s jack input behind that mention keyboard in\out, audio in .

Enyway, I hope someone out there can help me. If anyone knows where I can find informations on the T2, just let me know because I didn’t find anything. I feel like I’m a the good place to ask it.

Yeah it looks like a MIDI plug but it’s not. You need a cable that has all 5 pins wired. MIDI only uses 3 of the five pins and most cables only have three pins wired. However there are some MIDI cables with all five pins wired but I don’t know which brand. Some guitar FX floorboards use MIDI with the two surplus pins supplying power, thus they need that special cable.

FYI the Taurus II and Rogue are the same synth engine circuits, only difference is the control input from the pedalboard. User manual for the Rogue will tell you how to operate the front panel.

Just don’t expect Taurus I or Taurus III sounds, it doesn’t get even close.

Cool, you confirmed what I thought about the cable. The only weird things is that all my midi cable have 5 pin (but I guess , only 3 are working.) Enyway, thanks a lot, I can wait to test it with my new korg polysix.
