Moog Source // weasels ripped my ribbon cable ...

I’ve owned this thing for two decades, hardly ever play it
I always wondered if it was working right in the first place

I decided to jazz it up a bit by doing the FM mod

so, for the very first time I opened it up
and, well, what I found inside …

a bunch of crumpled tissue paper, and some major gnawing on one of the ribbon cables
at least three control line ripped open

fortunately no sign of doodoo or other … whatever it was I guess they didn’t stay long

so, an easy splice job later and …
passes the continuity test at both connectors

it’s very possible I’m getting “more” sound out of it now
not sure (LOL)

either way, it sounds really good // especially the flute patch … (so far, …)

maybe a Source expert can spot right away what these three lines do …

just thought I’d share

Wow… there begs a question that I must ask though… how did anything bigger than a spider actually get in there…?

Cheers,
Tom

that’s what i was wondering too, of course … I figure in the space under the keys

(ed.) It’s all good now, bridging was easy // checked schematic and it would have affected patch storage only
