I love the sound of my Source but just find the touch pads slow for playing live. Can I connect the VX 351 & CP 251 via the CV gate to make this synth more tweakable. I guess I just miss not having patches and knobs.
You may use the VX 351 & CP 251. But you need major custom modifications done to do so. And you would loose the ability to store patches. So this is rather a therotical ‘yes’.
Via the build in CV and Gate sockets of the Source you may trigger notes or change the played pitch. But nothing else. No sound design at all.
Better prepare for a Voyager or the original Minimoog.
