Hi!
I have a Prodigy ( sn.: 4739) with thumping on the Audio output. The thump can be molded by the Loudness envelope. ie. I can get rid of it by turning the attack up. The 2 oscillators can be heard in the background and the synth seems to operate like it should apart from the actual sound from oscillators being extremely low and the thump very loud. I tried adjusting the VCA trimpot R120 but it is set so that the oscillators are at their loudest at present. ie if I set it lower the oscillators vanish completely. What could be causing this and is there anything I could try replacing? I have basic soldering and electronics skills.
Im thinking maybe the VCA is broken in some way, so that the thump im hearing is actually the V or S trigger? (Bare with me, I dont know what im talking about!)
Any input is much appreciated
Robin
