Hello!
Here is a 1.5 bug that I found some time ago.
It is quite annoying because there is no bypass so far.
Hoping this can be corrected in forthcoming OS updates.
in order to free my left hand from pitch dives duties, I assign a 2 octave down pitch dive to aftertouch typically by creating the following modulation:
Source: Aftertouch, amount=-26.55%
Slew=55% (in order to have a slow pitch dive, as in Air “La femme d‘ Argent”)
Destination = Osc 1 Frequency
if I play C4 and press hard enough during 4 seconds, pitch will go down to C2.
I keep that C2 note for a second, then release the key, wait a bit and repress C4 (without triggering the aftertouch this time).
If I do not wait at least 4 seconds, the pitch of the new note will not be C4 but instead somewhere between C2 and C4, with the pitch still gliding back up at slew speed until it reaches C4.
The shorter the wait, the closer the pitch will be to C2.
If I wait more than 4 seconds (time for the slew to climb back from C4 to C2) then the pitch is correct again if I press the C4 key.
If you increase the Slew value, this gets even more dramatic.
Of course this does not happen if you don’t assign pitch dive to aftertouch and do “normal” pitch dives using the pitch wheel with legato glide engaged.
In that case you play a note, keep it pressed while you dive the pitch using the mod wheel. Then release the note and mod wheel and press the key again: its pitch will be correct.
The bug to correct is that once the key is released, whatever the slew, pitch should be reset as if not modulated anymore. The “pitch slew” should not continue as a ghost background task after the key has been released.
I hope my description is understandable and clear enough.
Thank you!
