Moog Musonics Sonic V Video

Hello,

Please enjoy,

Pretty cool little beastie you got there!

Yes, very impressive.

You got serial #74. It’s early model with diode ladder filter, not transistor ladder. The Sonic V was designed by ex-moog engineer Bill Hemsath who used the diode ladder to get around the transistor ladder patent. Not quite a minimoog but not a bad machine in that it has a lot more modulation capability the minimoog would never dream of.

Love the filter panel badged as “spectrum limiter”

Hey Charlie we have do the Minimoog Video soon. Great sounds out of that old wooden box. Does the # 74 mean anything to you. Remember that other minimoog. made 5/74 ,the one you made me sell you.We will have to bring that synth to Herbs class in the spring.

Very cool Charlie! I’ve never seen or heard a Sonic V that I remember!

Welcome to the forum too! :sunglasses:

Thanks everyone! I’ll post more videos as I make them. Hey Apollo, I don’t suppose i could ‘make’ you sell me your other mini also?

Sorry Charlie that Mini is going to be with me Forever!

Very cool. :sunglasses:

I think that’s worth a lot..it’s really impressive, I haven’t see Moog Musonics Sonic V in real life, I just always see it on internet or pics…
