Moog Guitar + Etherwave Plus

Pretty cool (although lots of $$$):

David

That is really cool. Moog should offer a stand-alone, ‘half-theremin’ CV controller. No audio out and a single antenna for CV control.

Bryan

They should offer that to the Moog Guitar users! Awesome idea!

Is this like Wii Fitness?

Man I never thought about that.

Nice!

Eric

No…it’s like, another excuse to make guitarists look like idiots on stage. I think this technology would be great for those guys who were teens in the '80’s who want to relive the hair metal era dressed in spandex and pleather. You know…the guys at the county fair, with the rented PA system and the fat drummer with a cutoff denim jacket and spiked bracelets who’s style sounds like the Def Leppard drummer, except he’s got both arms?

dang lol. That was harsh lol.

:smiling_imp:

Actually, I toned it down before I posted it. Didn’t feel like starting World War 3. :open_mouth:

No way…those guys – especially the guitar players – were all into “technique.” That strikes me as more nineties…

You were stoned before you posted it? Oh, you “toned it down” before you posted it!

I’ve always wanted a theremin,it looks like it has possibilities with the moog guitar, but frankly if I got the plus I’d be trying to play it as a theremin,at least to start with. Then I’d check it out with my voyager and moog guitar.Sheesh moog, first you got me hooked with a voyager, then the moog guitar, and lets not forget the Taurus, now I’m thinking about etherwaves and floogers

I actually feel that at this stage of my life,I feel like a lucky S.O.B.

No you wouldn’t, dude, you’d crank up the Moog Guitar and then STICK YOUR HEAD IN THE THEREMIN FIELD!!!

Oh sure,prolly at first,hell I still do windmills :smiling_imp:

O RLY? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5o1G0GSiNQM

Just for a couple samples of hair metal wankery.

Yeah, but there’s no one sticking their head in a theremin in either of those…

Okay…take that Video and add a couple of racks worth of Moogerfoogers to the guitars audio signal.

Put the theremin on stage behind a black curtian and youll have your normal sounding guitar start to get changed by Vo power and then when you point your headstock in the right direction you morph into the craziest sounding thing ever and people who aren’t in the know won’t have a clue lol.

Eric

You’re right, of course. But If you watch them, those ARE the same movements that were made in the Moog Music video.

That wouldn’t work. The black curtain would be in the path of the theremin…I think. Cool idea, though!

It would work because if it doesn’t interfere with the capacitance then its all gravy.

Shine black lights on the black curtian to make it look like theres a huge void will go to cover up the secret.
