Last week I completed my 901b oscillator home built module… and it worked out rather well…
So - here is my comparison video comparing my own hand-built 901b with an original R.A.Moog oscillator. It also turned a demo of my Modular - explaining how my custom switching between mixer channels works. I’m really pleased with my home-built unit… for all intents and purposes, it sounds exactly like my other 901b oscillators… all four of which each have their own sound anyway..!

Wow! Great sounds, Tom! To my ears, your oscillator sounds a tad cleaner than the Moog, but both sound really great! Personally, I’d be happy to have either of them in my modular.
“Tracking” issues - you mean tuning wise, Stephen…?
The ‘tracking trimmer’ is accessible from the rear (on all my 901b’s) with no need to pull the module out. They all work fine and take about 2 minutes to set.
I was using two 901a controllers at the end, which is what you may have noticed at the top end of the glide up..? Any ‘tuning’ is easily compensated for from the front panel, in fact I can also compensate for ‘Scale’ drift using some custom front panel controls.
I didn’t really concentrate on setting the tuning too much with it being a quick demo of the waveforms… and there are absolutely no issues in that department with this system…
