Modest Hardware Mod Package

I would like to see Moog Music put together a modest package of optional factory-authorized mods that would in addition to making the Voyager a bit
more flexible, as well as address a couple of issues others have already
raised. This package could include:

  1. Octave transpose switch.

  2. Normalize glide to filter.

  3. The ability to sync oscillator 3 AND 2 to osc 1. (It was a bit of a missed
opportunity to not include a sync capability for osc 3 also.)

    Any thoughts on this?

I think that’s an excellent idea!
Have to mentioned this directly to MoogMusic? These fixes would make the Voyager so much better…

I would add one thing to your list:
Reverse Sawtooth LFO please!!!
See this thread.
The original minimoog had it, why not the voyager?

Hello,

I actually did present the idea to Moog Music some time ago. The reply I
received was that it would be looked into.

The lfo saw wave isn’t a bad idea as i also would have liked the option of an lfo sine wave however, I would think that would require changing the
configuration of the lfo and the panel graphics. In addition, on an instrument where software is used to keep track of the functions, mods
that are too elaborate may necesitate changes in the OS, thereby driving
up the cost of any mods done. This is why I used the term “modest”.
Something not too elaborate is probably more feasable.

LWG -
You’re right on here - to stay modest, the mods themselves must be modest. We are indeed still looking at this…
