I’ve just recently purchased Model 15 and Auria running on an Ipad Pro 9.7 with latest IOS 10.
I’m really impressed by Model 15 overall but I’m having problems with Midi syncing and crackling.
I’ve tired the following basic set up when trying to test it out:
- Model 15 as a IAA within Auria.
- One Stereo track only in Auria, no other inserts or effects.
- Routed Midi in both Auria and Model 15 to each other.
- I’m using a basic preset bass patch and the arpeggiator in Model 15, just playing notes and not moving any other parameters.
- I have the arpeggiator running with a note playing before hitting record.
The crackling does seem to improve by playing with latency settings in Auria but I still seem to get some crackling from time to time. I’m noticing the CPU meter in Auria on average low but does peak quite high at times.
In terms of Midi, when I hit record in Auria, the arpeggiator in Model 15 seems to momentarily stop, slow down (bizarrely the pitch reduces as if it is tape slowing down), then speeds up again within about a bar. By this time it is totally out of sync.
I can get around this by moving wave forms around etc. but I’d love to be able to record live. Am I missing something? Is an Ipad Pro 9.7 capable of running Model 15 and Auria together.
