If that’s any comfort to you, I know I guy that has one.
I played it a couple of times, but he doesn’t want to sell it just yet. ![]()
Thanx Portamental, im also not gonna sell mine
just got it for a few weeks and i love it.
Gonna mod it so i can control the two lfo’s with cv so its more compatible with the foorgers.
Hope to post some pics soon, could you check with your friend if he has the nr on the latch?
Mant thanx anyways ![]()
From this photo found on the web, it looks like it’s on the outside bottom right hand corner of one side of the (fiberglass/plastic?) casing. Maybe yours came unglued and was displaced near a latch before you got the synth ?

Thanx for that info thealien666,
if you check the other pics you will se that its a mk2.
Mk2’s have the stickerd moog logo Mk1’s have the nicer pressed logo.
this one’s mine the system 100’s are not there from the guy i bought him from.
You can slightly see the nr on the right latch

Sorry about that mistake. ![]()
Maybe you could email the current Moog Music company? They might have some archives on earlier products ? Or maybe the Moog Foundation ?
Again, sorry for not being able to help much, especially when I mistake a MK2 for a MK1… ![]()
No noo, thank you for trying to help me, exuse me if i came acrosse rude trying to correct you that was never my intension.
Cant find allot of info over the mk1 sonic six, servicemanuell is also only for the mk2.
You weren’t rude or anything. I was just blasting myself for not having paid more attention to the fact that you were talking about the (rare) MK1 version, that’s all. ![]()
No luck with my friend, his Sonic IV is a Mk 2.

Mailed the guy hoping to get my answer ![]()
Nice weekend guy’s
No serialnr on his sonic 6 latches, soi guess the sticker got loose and the owner put it there for reference..
I was a pretty obsessed Sonic Six fan in the aughts. In those days, I scanned eBay daily for analog synthesizers. In that time, it was the second version of the Sonic Six that was more rare. I saw many of the first.
In any case, the Sonic Six I had, which can be seen on the Automatic Gainsay channel on YouTube, had its serial number etched in the latch, too.
Thank you verry much for that info Museslave. Nice demo’s man, the world needs them like that ![]()
Actually your arp 2600 demo’s made me buy my first big analog monster, that would be about four year’s ago. GReat, great, greAT demo’s.
Thanx for that.
The number thats hit on the latch of my sonic 6 is 1028, are there over a 1000 mk1’s made or could it be that i have nr 28?
And to be real shure do you know if the circuit boards also have serialnr’s written on them like the minimoog’s.
Many thanx guy’s
Cheers
Have to correct myself there, just checked. The arp demo’s date back from 2010.
Sorry im getting old ![]()
Finally the proof
, must there be more poeple with the same problem
