Was wondering, can I set my voyager up safely like this:
Voyager mixer out/filter in → VX-351 Multiple (insert cable)
VX-351 Multiple → Voyager ext audio in (patch cable)

Yes you can, but you have to remember that the Voyager’s Mix Out loop takes an insert cable, not a regular patch cord.
The Mix Out jack is a Tip-Ring-Sleeve (TRS) send/receive point on the Voyager’s signal path. When you tap into this jack, you are interrupting the signal flow from the Mixer Output to the Filter Input. If you simply route the Mixer Output to a Mult but do not return the signal back into the loop, you will hear nothing coming out of the Voyager.
You might find it helpful to take a look my ‘Kicking It Up A Notch’ article on KnobTweak. The article explains the Mix Out loop in detail and the many things that you can use it for (including routing the signal back into the Ext. Audio Input).

Cheers m8! What an amazing power this synth has… Gotta hope somebody’s gonna ring my doorbell or I might not leave the house for a few weeks ![]()
