Well, once again I need your advice. I need to buy a new mixer so that I can plug my AE, Source, FR Revotution, Rhodes and soon to be aquired OB-Xa (I have patience) then to my Vox Tonelab staright to the board. This will mainly be used at my home studio but will gig with it from time to time so I don’t need a top of the line just one that will not detract from these classic sounds. As always I truley appreciate all of your input.
I’ve got one of those little Behringer mixers, it gets the job done, but it’s not great. The built in eq just doesn’t too good. When I get another, I’m going to try the new small Mackies.
A Soundcraft Spirit could also be good for you.
Take a look at the Mackie DFX6, DFX12 CFX12 mixers, all have built in effetcs. If you don’t need or want built in effects take a look at the 1202, 1402 VLZ Pro mixers.
I’ve been very plaeased with Mackie In my studio I use the 1604 AVLZ PRO for all of the synths, then use a 1202 VLZ to route all of the recorders and 1604 to the studio monitors.
