MINITAUR!!!

So I had gotten a deal on a Monotribe+power adapter from Novamusik for $215, but decided it wasn’t clicking so I returned it. Since I had all the interior packing and everything, he gave me the whole $215 as store credit. I saw it was delivered to them MOnday and I just called to make sure it was received and credit given. When Brian (who does returns) got on the phone he said, “BTW, I have a Minitaur for you, how do we want to handle this?” . So I paid the remaining $354 and it will make it out on the truck today. So this Friday, Fed Ex is bringing me an iPad 3 and UPS is bringing me my Minitaur!!! Super excited and had to share

Merry Xmas to you.

That worked out well! Congrats!

Yeah. For some reason the Monotribe just wasn’t clicking well with me so I sent it back for store credit since I had both a Minitaur and Minibrute on pre-order. Now I just have to make sure I still have money when the Minibrute comes out

It’s here! Didn’t have space to get out one of my old Rolands to use as a controller and the controller I’m being sent by someone from Gearslutz wasn’t shipped a week and a half ago, may go out today. So I went and bought an Alesis Q25 (which I’ll return when that other one arrives heh) so I could plug in and play. As many computers as I have owned and standard power cords as I have, I could NOT find a cord for my freaking bass amp. Luckily I have some big headphones. It sounds very nice. Need to go register it and play with it more.

I haven’t messed w/MIDI much before. If I hook the Minitaur’s USB to my Mac Mini and plug in the controller w/USB, will Garageband make it pretty clear how to connect them in the DAW? I almost bought a nanokey instead, but wanted something w/a MIDI port so I could be away from the computer and still play the Minitaur. My JX-8P and Juno 106 have only ever been used by me as audio out to an amp or headphones before, so MIDI is all new for me.
