Minitaur rack mount options

I am somewhat space constrained and I don’t have space to dedicate 3U to one Minitaur. A very likely appears to be mounting it next to a CP-251 in the rack mount kit used for the CP-251, VX351, and VX-352. Working from the dimensions in the spec for the Minitaur; 8.75" x 5.12" x 3.12", and the actual rack mount kit and CP-251, that once you remove the CP-251 side panel there is enough room* side-to-side to fit. However, the Minitaur front panel presents a rather challenging angle.

I would very much like to get stuff up and off a non-existent desk surface and mounted to the wall. If the above doesn’t work, I may have to skip rack mounting the CP-251 as well, favoring some other synth or effect. :frowning:

Of course, I would rather have these problems than to forgo Moog’s altogether! :slight_smile:


*- the screw heads on the sides may also present challenges.

I am wondering the same thing. Has anyone mounted the Minitaur next to the CP?

My Minitaur came today, and while there is space on the CP-251 rack mount bracket to accommodate it. You have to remove one of the wooden side panels of the CP-251 and provide someway to attach it - there are no matching mounting holes.

I’ll post some pix before friday. [ran out of time this week]
