What’s the advantage of installing this compared to 2.2?

Its all written down in the PDF that comes with the new version:

Change Log: v2.2.1
• LFO Key Trigger doesn’t work if MIDI SYNC is On but Minitaur is not receiving MIDI clock
• Envelope Release knobs stop working if Env Release Mode is set to “Independent
Decay/Release”, Release is On, and the user presses the hardware Glide button
