I can’t find any other info about it online. I looked for MIDI bass pedals but could only find the Nord Pedal Keys ($2200!) and some others by Roland that were less expensive but still $600 for the low-end model.
Anyway, never seen this Firstman thing before but with the Minitaur having CV and Gate inputs, seems like it should work? What other kinds of CV controllers could I use to change the Filter/Volume CVs? Or should I just get a MIDI foot controller?
You should just get a set of Midi pedals. I’ve seen some low cost, strange looking push button pedal type controllers for sale and cheap (search around on this forum).
Or find a set of used Roland pedals; but they are still a bit costly.
Build a case and some fairly straightfwd DIY skills will get you something great for a minimal cost. Analogue Haven says “in stock” which is strange. I think Doepfer wants something like 200 Euro and who knows how much shipping from German will cost; if you can get it from California, heck, go for it.
(and if you look into the electronics, you’ll see that you can wire up some buttons for common functions for lots of utility; Doepfer’s electronics have always been good and they support the DIY community by releasing products like this)
