Hi. I have a minimoog that I am getting ready to sell, but it has a nasty habit of emitting some sort of squeal every few minutes. Anyone have any idea what’s wrong? I don’t want to rip anyone off when I sell it. Thanx in advance.
This will more than likely just be “dirty key contacts”, either the bus bars, or spring contacts, or both, need a good clean. The fact that it seems to happen “every few minutes” probably relates to when you hit a particular key.
Plenty of people here will be able to recommend suitable cleaning products available in your location.
