Can’t seem to find too much info on this-- I just picked up a mini today, and it seems that the plastic overlay on both the panel and modwheel section is delaminating pretty bad… has anyone ever endeavored to peel it off before? Not sure if this would be a terrible idea if the text will rub off after the plastic is gone. Or maybe there is a way to re-seal it with heat or something. Anyone have any experience with it?
For the mod wheel, I don’t know…
But for the panel there is this available:

I’ve never had to replace either on mine, but at least there is a partial solution for damaged ones. Congrats on your acquisition, fellow Canadian !
I prefer this one, if you don’t mind… ![]()
I think the only info on the net on the subject is to just replace it with the new panels. Surely someone out there must have tried to restore the originals before??
And yes thank you, I’ve owned most of the Moogs and finally got a Mini, I can really see why this one is the best of the bunch. Massive sound! Can’t wait to throw in new bushings, this thing will be awesome.
Sorry guys, I prefer neither! National anthems are lame, excuse my mild insurrection.
Yeah, come to think of it, they’re both pretty crappy…

And have absolutely no place here. This is an international forum. ![]()
Aaaaaahhhh the Yamaha GX-1, and Keith Emerson’s famous Moog 55. What a pair of beasts !
And, funny enough, that was filmed in my hometown ! (on a visibly cold day, inside an unfinished olympic stadium without its roof. Oh well, no overheating problems for the equipment at least
)
