MiniMoog Owners: could you measure a part for me?

When I first got my minimoog 30 odd years ago it worked very well (and still does incredibly) but the woodwork was very beaten up from previous heavy touring and gigging. It’s not got magically better over the years so I’ve decided to give it a bit of new life and currently have it all disassembled for renovation.

The little thin strip of wood that is screwed along the top of the front vinyl panel has always been missing and I’d like to restore it. I don’t have access to another mini to measure so I’m hoping someone here who has a mini could simply measure that strip and post the dimensions.

27-1/8" long, 1-1/4" high, 5/8" thick. Rounded edges, slot 1/8" wide and 1/2" deep, along the whole length to accommodate the thickness of the panel which is inserted inside it.
4 wood screws go thru the metal panel from the front and screw into the wood after having crossed the slot.

Hope this helps.

That’s brilliant, thanks so much for taking the trouble to take photos! I figured there must be a groove in it, and your photos will make it much easier to reconstruct.

You’re welcome. Took me only a couple of minutes of my time, and rewarded me with the good feeling of helping a fellow Minimoog owner.
