Hi all :slight_smile:

I took this shot of the Milky Way the night before last and thought it’d make a nice “spacey” Moog wallpaper.

I’ve attached a small version that’s 768px high if that’s all you need. You can follow this link and grab the fullsize version at 2560x1440 (27" iMac) so that you can cut it down to suit:

Nice Job! Set as my desktop image just now. Living in the city, I don’t see this many stars …even on clear nights. Thanks for this.

Cheers Bhrama - glad you like it. That vista was taken with my trusty Canon 5D Mark-II DSLR with a 17-40mm zoom at 17mm set atop my guided telescope mount - so it took onto account Earths’ rotation for the 10-minute exposure. The field where I took the shot is about 1 hour south west of the central Sydney CBD - a city of nearly five million people.

Funny, I recognize none of the stars in that hemisphere!

I think I have seen that small one near the center of the picture before.
