Midi-to-cv interface required for Midimoog?

Hi,

Quick question:

  • Is a midi-to-cv interface required to connect a Midimoog (Studio Electronics) to a Dave Smith Prophet 6? I’d like to use the DS keyboard/wheel to play the Midimoog…
  • Is a midi-to-cv interface required to connect a Midimoog (Studio Electronics) to a Doepfer Dark Time sequencer?

Hi Louis.

The name MIDIMoog should give you a good clue as to the answer to those questions… :wink:

Short answer: NO to both questions.

All three devices (MidiMoog, Prophet 6 and Dark time) are equipped with MIDI. You shouldn’t have any problem controlling the MidiMoog with a Prophet 6 or Dark Time using MIDI. Besides, it’s much simpler than using CV too !
