I don’t have it yet, but just got a mono/poly and I’m looking for a midi/CV for it. Now I’ll get a super one. Also I can start experimenting with patching using the VX. (Way easier than going through the menus - finally will start using the touch panel more often)
Sounds great! One thing to keep in mind: Some Korg synths repond to exponential CV’s (V/Hz) instead of linear CV’s (V/oct). I think you’ll be fine, however, since I’m pretty sure that the Korg Mono/Poly is a V/oct design. Check the specs to be sure.
But they are not that good in tracking over more then 3 octaves.
The quality of the D/A and the analog parts does not appear to be that good for this low price tag.
While there are cheaper ways to get a MIDI-CV converter, if you already have the Voyager, the VX-351 is the best way to go, IMO. You not only get the MIDI/CV capability (not its main purpose, but cool that it can do this), you unlock a very powerful aspect of Voyager control.
