The T3 goes right down to C0 in the MIDI spec, which makes the Voyager keyboard a little inconvenient to use as a controller. It does work, but if, for example, you wanted to double a bass line on the Moogs, you have to transpose the Voyager down several octaves and re-tune the oscillators.
I have a patch in which the V’ger is going through a Sherman in BPF mode, and I wanted the Taurus to provide a bass foundation. Anyway.
So, Amos our friend , would it be possible to have a menu in which the incoming MIDI notes are transposed down a selectable number of octaves?
…or you can route through your Mac (in my case) with ‘MIDI Patchbay’. I have a split and transpose that I use from a Novation controller to both my Phatty and Taurus simultaneously. Am sure there are good hardware devices that will do this as well but for the ultimate in control, software does the trick and if you run USB, latency is immeasurable.
planning on adding the same kind of MIDI note transpose as the Voyager has (separate transpose amount for MIDI in and MIDI out), to the Taurus. This is a very useful feature, and having it on both Taurus and Voyager will be nice, I think…
